Our Work

Our Mission

Access Partners builds businesses
to enable church planting
among people least reached by the gospel.

The Need for Access

One of the greatest needs in the cause of world missions is access to the gospel. As the apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans, “…how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?” (Romans 10:14)

In the 10/40 window, where worldviews and cultures are opposed to Christianity, access to the gospel is even more limited. We need creative means through which church planters can establish a presence and bring the gospel to the ends of the earth.

Business-as-Mission

One solution is engaging in viable business in the country, a strategy that is more widely known as Business-as-Mission. Businesses enable church planters to integrate in the local community, develop gospel relationships, and display God’s glory in their operations.

Access Partners addresses the need for access by undertaking three main initiatives:

  1. Develop Business Models
We identify replicable business models that are sustainable and enable church planting.
  2. Recruit Experienced Professionals
We help staff Kingdom-minded businesses overseas, and also facilitate short term involvement in the US and abroad
  3. Fund Viable Startups
We identify strategic projects and invite donors and investors to provide startup and growth capital.

Impact on Church Planting

As of 2009, AP has helped over 100 church planters in 20 cities in the 10/40 window.  We have launched 5 businesses, assisted in restructuring a number of businesses, and consulted with several church planters about their options for establishing a short or long-term presence in their respective communities for the sake of ministry work.
