Stock Donations to Access Partners
Stock gifts can be donated to Access Partners in two ways:
- Direct transfer from a donor’s to Access Partners’ brokerage account
- By giving Access Partners a stock certificate
Method 1: Direct Transfer
If you’d like to give by direct transfer between brokerage accounts, please call Access Partners at 202-609-7375 or email info@access1040.com. At that time we’ll give you our DTC# and our brokerage account number. Pass these on to your personal broker and they can transfer your stock gift directly to us.
Method 2: Certificate
If at all possible, avoiding stock gifts given by certificate is preferred. A stock certificate will likely have the donor’s name on it, making it difficult for Access Partners to deposit it. If you’re able, deposit the certificate in your own brokerage account and use method 1 to transfer your gift.
